Professor
Markus Leoson became 2008 Vertretungsprofessor for Percussion at the LISZT School of Music Weimar and since 2009 he is there the Professor for the Percussion Department. His class consists of about 12 students per year.

Since many years he gives regularly Master Courses and Master Classes in different Music Conservatorys and at Festivals, for example at Copenhagen, Odense, Oslo, Stockholm, Arvika, Piteå, Malmö, Koszalin, Alcoy, Salamanca, Zaragoza, Lugo, Espinho, Beijing, Stuttgart, Berlin and Rostock.
